  • Staged reading with U.Va. MFA actors at the American Shakespeare Center.
ASC Play Reading Series (American Shakespeare Center, Staunton, VA) 2005-2011:
  • Produced over 25 plays for the ASC’s play reading series Bring ‘Em Back Alive. Responsible for choosing season, editing scripts, assigning directors, casting actors and facilitating public performances of Early Modern plays or new works related to Shakespeare and his contemporaries. I directed the following plays:
    • Every Man Out of His Humour by Ben Jonson.
    • Lovers and Executioners by John Strand.
    • A Mad World, My Masters by Thomas Middleton.
    • The New Inn by Ben Jonson.
    • 140 by Marsha Norman (inspired by Sonnet 140 in Love’s Fire).

  • Original production examining youth violence w/scenes from Romeo and Juliet, created with ASF artists, MFA students and Montgomery teens (including incarcerated youth) funded by the Southern Poverty Law Center under supervision of Peter Howard, Cornerstone Theatre and the National Conference for Community and Justice.
